Measha Gittins
Miss Rodeo Idaho 2010
Measha Lee Gittins calls Dayton, Idaho home.
On
July 15th, 2009, Measha's dream came true when she was crowned the 55th Miss
Rodeo Idaho at the Snake River Stampede in Nampa,
Idaho.
As
Miss Rodeo Idaho, Measha will be dedicating this
year to representing her state throughout the
country; promoting the sport of rodeo, western way
of life and preparing to compete for the coveted
title of Miss Rodeo America 2011. In the future,
she is looking forward to continuing her education
at the College of Southern Idaho, furthering her
career in the medical field to become a registered
nurse.
In
addition to horses and rodeo, Measha’s interests
include singing, playing the piano, being involved
in outdoor activities and spending quality time with
her family and friends. Many of her interests and
strengths come from years of experience in the 4-H
program, high school rodeo competition, serving in
many leadership positions as well as being a
positive role model for her peers.
“My
passion lies deep in the heart of the ever-growing
sport of rodeo. I truly believe that competing in
rodeo has shaped my life in so many ways, fostering
compassion, dedication, courage, and sportsmanship.
As Miss Rodeo Idaho, I will work diligently visiting
schools, rodeos, and events in an effort to educate
the public about our rich western heritage, as well
as the instrumental values of the sport. It is a
privilege to represent the Professional Rodeo
Cowboy’s Association and its members as Idaho’s
First Lady of Rodeo.
Just a reminder as we travel through the trails of
life. If you can dream it, you can believe it, and
if you believe it, you can achieve it.
